Determine the value of m so that the solution of the equation equals 7.
. . . 8 - 2x .= .m + 4
You already know that x = 7, right?
Plug it in: . 8 - 2(7) .= .m + 4 . . . and solve for m.
I'm suppose to determine a value of m so that the solution of the equation equals 7.
So I did--- 8-2x = (-10)+4
8-2x = -6
-2x = -14
x = 7
I think the answer is m = -10. When I was trying to find the value of m, I felt like I was working backwards. Do you know any other ways to find the value of m ???
