    modulus and linear function

A graph has equation y= x + abs(2x-1). Express y as a linear function of x (that is, in the form of y=mx+c for constants m and c) in each of the following intervals of x

    a) x > 1/2 b) x < 1/2

    thanks!

    hi
    x> \frac{1}{2}\Leftrightarrow y=x+2x-1\Leftrightarrow y=3x-1
    x< \frac{1}{2}\Leftrightarrow y=x-(2x-1)\Leftrightarrow y=-x+1.
