    x≠0

    I've been asked to plot a graph of x≠0.
    ≠ aparently means not equal to, but i dont know how i am supposed to do this, surley that would be everyvalue but 0?

    my best guess would be to put a dotted line on the x-axis (because dotted implies not a part of the set) and shade above and below the axis...

    The points in the graph of " x\ne 0", in the xy-plane, are all points in the plane except those for which x= 0. That is, all except the vertical line x= 0.
    (Just realized- that's exactly what "mathgirlie" said!)
