    Wher K and n are integers what is K+n?

    HI there,
    Can some one help how to solve this problem

    If 72.42 = K(24 + n/100), where k and n are positive integers, and n < 100 then k+n = ?

    Are you sure this can be solved?

    It seems to me you have 1 equation with 2 unknowns. Which normally is not solvable. Is there more information?

    Talking The answer is 17

    I solved it using excel. (The file is attached)
