    Solve for x.... x^2 +x -12

    How would I go about to solve x^2 + x -12

    I know you set to 0 and then you get x^2 + x = 12 , but then what?

    solve this quadratic by factoring ...

    x^2 + x - 12 = 0

    factor the left side and use the zero product property to solve
