    Help with calculating coordinates.

    I have an issue on how they got these answers.
    The first two digits can only reach 60. I think this is where I get them wrong.


    5435'N - 6734'N Correct Answer: 1259'N
    2725'N - 0744'N Correct Answer: 1941'N

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    for the first one, I think you mean ...

    67^\circ 34' - 54^\circ 35'

    "borrow" a degree ... 1^\circ = 60'

    67^\circ 34' = 66^\circ 94'

    now subtract
