Surely, you can read the tables, can't you?

Which country has the largest population (P)? Look at China.

Median population? Line 'em up in ascending order and pick the middle one.

Median area? Line 'em up in ascending order and pick the middle one.

Least area? Which area (A) is the smallest number? Look at Vietnam.

Second smallest population? Well, Laos has the smallest.


How many times does the human heart beat in 75 years?


1.2 times 60 gives the number of beats in 1 minute.

That number times 60 gives you the number of beats in 1 hour.

That number times 24 gives you the number of beats in 1 day.

That number times 365.25 gives you the number of beats in 1 year (leap years included)

That number times 75 gives you the number of beats in 75 years.

if you don't know how to work with scientific notation...

it looks as if laos has the higher population but upon examination of the exponents you see that china has a larger population by far

laos is 6,070,000
china is 1,250,000,000
