    graphical log question

    if the graph of a function of y=log_a (x) goes through (22,1) then what does a =?

    Solve 1 = \log_a (22) for a.

    Here is the first and last step: a^1 = 22.

    change y = \log_a(x) to an exponential equation ... then sub in the given values.
