    Finding a,b,c

    1 + 3 + 5 +.... (2n-1) = an^2 + bn + c, for some real constant a,b,c.Find the values of a,b and c

    The first term is 1 and the last term is (2n-1) so

    S_n=\frac{n}{2}(a+l)

    =\frac{n}{2}(1+()2n-1)

    =n^2

    So by comparing , a=1 , b and c are both 0 .
