    Solving an equation

    Okay with this one how come it is not -13/38 but it's -38/13

    3x/2 - x/5 = 19/5

    The simple approach is to multiply the equation by (2)(5) = 10:

    15x - 2x = 38

    => 13x = 38

    => x = 38/13.

    After working on similar problems, I figured out how they were coming out like that. I kept trying to make the questions smaller.

    like 3x-9 when I should of just add the 9 and put the 3 into it. Thank you for trying.
