Is it possible to express f(x)=.sqrt(x^2/4 ) in terms of f(x)= x/2? If yes, what is the relation? If no, why is it not possible?

The equation
$\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{x^2}{4}}=$
$\displaystyle \frac{\sqrt{x^2}}{\sqrt{4}}=$
$\displaystyle \frac{|x|}{2}$
$\displaystyle \mbox{In otherwords all the values are the same between the two equations except }x<0$
$\displaystyle \mbox{Can you take it from here?}$
