Help with exponential power series question please

Calculate the value of e^-t/CR correct to 6 d.p using the power series for e^x with an appropriate number of terms, given that t=2.2ms, C=1uF and R=200Kohms.
Check and compare your result with your calculator.
I've never used a power series before so could somebody explain it carefully please, its for my HNC in electrical engineering assignment.
    Thanks alot!

Are you saying that you've been given an assignment on work you have not been taught?!

You will find the power series here: Exponential function - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You will find error and accuracy discussed here: Remainder Term of the Taylor Series
