word problem help
At a concession stand at a high school football game, the owner notices that the relationship between the cost of a hotdog and the number of hotdogs sold is linear. If the price is \$1.00 per hotdog, then 650 hot dogs are sold each night. If the cost is \$1.50 per hotdog, then only 475 are sold each night.

1. Write the given information as points in the form (cost per hotdog, quantity sold).
2. Write a linear equation that passes through these two points.
3. Use your equation to predict the number of hotdogs that would sell if the price changed to \$1.70 per hotdog.

2nd question.
Given n(x)= square root 18-6x State domain and range of graph using interval notation. Then state whether the graph is a function.

I wouldn't use online fourms if I didn't try if needed help..

1. Write the given information as points in the form (cost per hotdog, quantity sold).

This seems plain and simple, cost, quantity.

2. Write a linear equation that passes through these two points.

I am lost how to answer.

3. Use your equation to predict the number of hotdogs that would sell if the price changed to \$1.70 per hotdog.

I can't do 3 without understanding 2.

I am also lost.

So in the end, we are pretty much back to step 1....
