    help with pyramid and rectangle

teach me how to do the 1st part. the ans given is 2. but i got 1.5.

i think since the vol of pyramid is one-third of the rectangle, i'll let its vol to be 1 unit while the rectangle is 3 units. then i take 6 divide by 4 to get ans.

The clue is in the question - but you didn't read it properly! It's a prism, not a pyramid. Therefore, its volume is one-half that of the cuboid, not one-third. Hence it occupies one-third of the total volume, not one-quarter.
