    Factoring help?

I have trouble with these two questions.

    Factor

    1) 5r^2-11rs+2s^2

    2) 5x^3-4x^2-5x+4

    Please explain in detail. Thanks

    1. Hint: This is fairly straighforward because the signs must both be negative and 5 and 2 are both prime numbers.

    2. Hint: group the terms like this (5x^3-5x)-(4x^2-4)
