simple quadratic equation question
If I want to solve for "q" will the quadratic equation apply to the following equation?

$q^2k^2\pi^2z+q(2\pi^2k^2z-20\pi kz^2+z^3)-104+\frac{20\pi k}{z}+\frac{\pi^2 k^2}{z^2}=0$

And what about if q contains k? I.e. $q=3\left(\frac{1-k}{1+k}\right)^2$

Would it still work?

There's no reason why not. And it can contain k if it likes, it can contain anything you want, I'm fairly sure.

You'll probably get something fearsomely unwieldy, but that's what makes this sort of mental gymnastics such fun.
