    Exponents

    (-4)power 4 * (- 4) power 5 =(- 1) power (p) determine p in the following .

    Hi , u mean (-4)^4\times(-4)^5=(-1)^p

    (-4)^9=(-1)^p

    I don think there is a solution because (-1) to the power of anything gives you -1 or 1 ..
