    Property that states (x - x) = 0

    Hi,

Is there a formal property of mathematics that states:

    For any number x, x - x = 0?

I know this is true, but I can't remember whether there is a property that defines it. Thanks.

    0 is the additive identity , i.e. x + 0 = x
