Ok heres a identical question i have except I used easy numbers.(I need to know how to figure this out so please explain as well as you can).

Call the cost of the hamburger without tax, "X". The tax is 10% of that or (0.1)X. Adding the tax to the cost gives X+ 0.1X= 1.01X= 1.00. Now divide both sides by 1.01 to get X.

$1.00 - (1.00 \div 11)$

4. ThankS HALLS OF IVERY!!! It took me a while to understand im such a retard lolz and pickslides your way worked too but you diddnt explain at all, so it would work on this problem but I wouldnt have been able to do my home work.
