# Math Help - I have no idea what to do :[

it's not that hard but math is not my strong suit...so anyways here goes..

i have a work sheet that looks like this:

4 4 4 4 = 0
4 4 4 4 = 1
4 4 4 4 = 2
4 4 4 4 = 3
4 4 4 4 = 4
4 4 4 4 = 5
4 4 4 4 = 6
4 4 4 4 = 7
4 4 4 4 = 8
4 4 4 4 = 9
4 4 4 4 = 10

in between those fours you can use (+, -, x, ÷) also you can use parenthesis and the square root symbol. help please :'[

Are you allowed to use (+, -, x, ÷) more than once?

for example, 4+(4/4)+4=9

come on, you have to try. this will get you started ...

$4 - 4 + 4 - 4 = 0$

$(4 + 4) \div (4 + 4) = 1$

i've gotten the first two and the one that equals four..i've tried them all..

5. 4 4 4 4 = 6?

(4 + 4) / 4 + 4 = 6?

8/4 + 4 = 6?

2 + 4 = 6?

6 = 6,

8 - 1 = 7?

7 = 7,

(4)^(1/2) + (4)^(1/2) + (4)^(1/2) + (4)^(1/2) = 8?

2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8?

8 = 8,

or

4 4 4 4 = 8?

4 X 4 - 4 - 4 = 8?

16 - 4 - 4 = 8?

8 =8,
