    Help with %!

    Sorry guys, a newbie and feeling foolish.

    I have should have 12.7 people in my department, and we only have 7.6 people at the moment, I have to submit to HR how many I am down as a %, Can someone tell me the % and let me know how to do the calculation?

     \left(\frac{12.7-7.6}{12.7}\right)\times 100

    Or even better you can say

    \left(\frac{7.6}{12.7}-1\right)\times 100

    this will give the correct sign in front of the number.
