    Red face Every child in a family has at least 4sis and 2bros.

    Every child in a family has at least 4sis and 2bros. What is the least no. of children in the family?


    Ans: so, atleast 6+1 children.

    so answer, i guess shud b seven??
    can some1 confirm this?? answer is quiet visible i guess.

    You should write this problem out graphically and see if you can get a visual sense of the solution.

    You say every child has four sisters. So how many sisters would sister 1 have?

    How many brothers would brother 1 have?

    Also, for next time, please post questions like these in a different forum. Its not really the type of question to go in the advanced probability and statistics category.

    I think this is how to do it.

    1g 4g 2b 1b

    so, each child will have atleast 4sis and 2 bro.

    So total children is 8.

    Correct??
