    Probability

Hi! I need some assistance with this math problem...

How could each of the following be simulated by using a random-digit table?
    a. Tossing a fair die
    b. Picking 3 months at random from the 12 months of the year
    c. Spinning a spinner that shows 3 different colors of red, white, and blue.

For a, I was thinking that I should only use numbers 1 to 6 for tossing a fair die. Is this correct? I'm not sure where to begin for b and c.

Thanks for any help you can give.

If you are allowed to restrict the numbers that will randomly occur as suggested in your solution for part a) then you could use the numbers 1 to 12 for part b) to represent the months of the year 1= Jan, 2 = Feb and so on and numbers 1 to 3 for part c) for 1 = Red, 2 = White and 3 = Blue.

    Thank you

Thank you very much for your response. I guess I was trying to head in that direction for the answer, but afraid that this is some sort of trick question.
