Thread: Parametric or Non-Parametric ANOVA?

I'm new to statistics and am looking for a bit of help.

I have a dataset with five (5) subjects. Each subject was run nine (9) times under fifteen (15) unique conditions. Because the effect size per trial is so small, I sum the 9 trials into a cumulative total.

If I want to correlate total button pushes (dependent variable; sum of 9 trials) with screen luminance (independent variable; 15 unique conditions), does this meet the condition for a parametric or non-parametric ANOVA?

I would guess non-parametric since we do not know how the basic variables are distributed.
