    obtain the scatterplot of age against fat



    obtain the scatterplot of age against fat?

    Which is right ?

    The first graph or the second and why?

    I'm sure you can argue for either.
    But I would guess we want to predict fat(y) from age(x).

    I agree. Normally it said that one plots y against x but that seems silly in this example

    Thank you for your answer.Do you mean that there is no diffrence between the first and second scatter plot?

    The fisrt and second one are both correct??

    In my opinion ,

    I think that the fat should on the y-axis and age on the x-axis

    because on x-axis we put the indepedant variable and on y-axis we put the dependant variable..
