    Smile Probability Distribution Question

    Using the company record of last 500 working days the manager of the company has summerized the number of cars sold per day as follow .



    (a)Construct PDF and CDF of the number of cars sold (say, Y)
    (b)Compute the E(Y) and V(Y) and SD
    (c)Find the number of cars sold less than or equal to 50%
    that is the Qn I could not answer

    Can somebody help me ?

    first use mid points, and i would go for Kaplan Mijer estimes.
    roughly non parametric estimates see attached

    By the way, your variance calculation might be incorrect. You forgot to squared the mean to be subtracted from the second moment.
