    Question gamma problem

    how do i get (x+1)*[gamma(2)*gamma(x+1)]/gamma(x+3) to equal

    x+1/x+2.

    It doesn't.

    Recall:
    • \Gamma (n-1) = n!, \ n \in \mathbb{Z}^+
    • \Gamma (z+1) = z\Gamma (z)


    So: \frac{(x+1)\Gamma (2) \Gamma (x+1)}{\Gamma (x+3)} = \frac{(x+1)(1) \Gamma (x + 1)}{(x+2) \Gamma (x+2)} = \frac{(x+1)(1)\Gamma (x + 1)}{(x+2)(x+1) \Gamma (x+1)} = \cdots
