Coefficient of correlaton
May I ask the help of the math elite please. :)

Thank you in advance squared.

Following observations selected at random.

X: 5 3 6 3 4 4 6 8
Y: 13 15 7 12 13 11 9 5

Determine the coefficent of correlation and the coeffcient of determination. Interpret the association between X and Y.

I agree with your correlation coefficient. I'm afraid I don't know what the coefficient of determination is.

Thanks.

I am never going to take another math class again. 20 years after I first decided I hated it, my viewpoint hasn't chaged.

If I wanted an "infraction" I would go back to the 4th grade.

I'm out.

Here,

Note the correlation coefficient square is,
$r^2=.7935$
Thus,
$r=\sqrt{.7935}$

Ah! The coefficient of determination is just $r^2$, so TPH gave that to you.
