Lottery numbers
Some first year statistics decided to try and use their newfound knowledge to gain unearned riches. To that end, they decided to see if they could detect any pattern in past Pick3 lottery draws. Although each lottery number is a 3 digit number, it is actually 3 numbers (each between 0 and 9) picked at random. The students collected data over a 32 week period in which 654 random digits were chosen in all. Their data appears in the following table:
(the single digits are the lottery numbers and the others are the count of how many there were selected in the sample)
0 62
1 55
2 66
3 64
4 75
5 57
6 71
7 74
8 69
9 61
Perform the appropriate hypothesis test to determine if the data suggests that some numbers are more likely to be picked than others.
WHICH TEST SHOULD I USE?
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
THANKS
