I used JMP last year. It's a subset of SAS.
Hi guys,
I'm wondering if any of you know a computer software that can perform general (multi-level) fractional factorial design (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractional_factorial_design)?
I've looked at Axiom · Eigenmath · Mathomatic · Maxima · PARI/GP · Reduce · Sage · Yacas, Macsyma · Maple · Mathcad ·Mathematica, none of them seem to to do it. MatLab only does
2-level designs.
So, is there any software that can do a genearl FFD?
Thanks a lot.

I have used both minitab and designease to successfully run experimental designs of many types. I have also used excel but don't know where I put that spreadsheet or I would upload it.

Design-Ease 6: What's New
^^ Hi, thanks so much for the reply. I haven't got a windows machine at the moment, so I cannot try the trial version, but would you be able to tell me if minitab could do a full fractional factorial design of a 6^5 problem? More specifically, my problem has 5 factors, each factor has 6 possible values. Given the limited resources, I can only afford less than 100 runs. I'd be very grateful if you could check with minitab on whether it can do this problem.
Thanks a lot.

I just played around with the trial version of mintab, and no, it does not do general fractional factorial design.
I checked out the feature of design-easy 6 and 7, and no, they don't say anything about general fractional factorial design either.
Thanks anyway!
