    scatter plot

    For (a) and (b) identify the data in each table as linear or exponential , then write an equation that will generate the output from the input.

    A) input: 1 2 3 4 5
    output:40 50 62.5 78.13 97.66


    B)input: 2 4 6 8 10
    output: 42 35 28 21 14


    CHECK:when using your equation does your calculator generate the given table?

    A) YES or NO B) YES or NO

    Draw the points. What do they look like? Do they line up in a straight line, so a linear model would work well, or do they shoot up quickly, so an exponential model would work better?

    What methods or tools are you supposed to use for finding the modelling equation?
