Can someone please help me with part b of this question.

You have:

$<br /> y=x+\eta_1<br />$

where: $\eta_1 \sim N(\mu_1,\sigma_1^2)$

Then $y$ has the same distribution as $\eta_1$ but with its mean increased by $x$ .
