4. if the question is - what is the probability that all the shots will hit the target then it is correct
but ifthe question iswhat is the probability that the target will be hit (gunned down) then solution is different....

in this case we will find the probability that atleast one shot hits the target
first of all find the probability that None of the shots hit the target
=(1-0.7)X(1-0.6)X(1-0.5)X(1-0.4)
=0.3 X 0.4 X 0.5 X 0.6

probability( atleast one shot hits the target)=1-(0.3 X 0.4 X 0.5 X 0.6)
