1. ## Kolmogorov-smirnov test for exponential distribution

hi everyone

I'm having a little trouble understanding how i'm supposed to answer this question. I've got 40 observations of login times (in seconds) and i have to test the hypothesis that they are exponentially distributed.

Could somebody take 5 minutes to explain in plain english the way that i would go about this. I have attached a spreadsheet of my 40 observations if that helps at all.

Thanks very much for your time

2. actually guys, i've made some great progress, i've found a D-value of 0.2456, which according to my handy Kolmogorov smirnov test table gives me a p-value somewhere between 0.15 and 0.2.

Since this is for an assignment, can anyone tell me if there is a way for me to find out the exact p-value?

Linear interpolation should be adequate for something with a p between 0.15 and 0.2.
