    probability distribution

    Given X is a binomial random variable with a mean of 4 and a variance of 4/3 .
    Show that the maximum value of X is 6

    A binomial distribution with parameters n and p has mean np and variance np(1-p). This gives you 2 simultaneous equations for n and p. Once you have them, there should be no problem with the maximum value.
