A linear regression equation of best fit between a student's attendance and the degree of success in school would have a positive relationship. Meaning that the more a student went to school the better his/her success.
The correlation coefficient, r, for a positive relationship would be between 0 and 1.
negative relationship would mean that as x increases h decreases and we know just by looking at the equation that that is not true.
If the data falls very close to the equation then the value woud be very close to 1. I will attach some more examples of correlation coefficient values.
