    [SOLVED] Premutations and Combinations

    Hey there,

I know the difference between them.
    Permutation the order matters
Combination the order does not matter.

    But they are just words.

Anybody mind clarifying? So I know when to use them?

I think I get it. Just to clarify, doing 4P2 shows all the ways 2 things out of the four can be arranged, where as 4C2 shows only the number of different objects that can be chosen?
