    linear regression

Does anyone know how to use the statistics program R? I need help badly on an assignment question. When I look at it, I'm not even sure if it's a question that requires you to use a statistics program. Any other programs are fine too. Please help!

Without even looking at the question (because I have to get to work), let me tell you that R is an advanced statistical programming language. It requires computer programming skills and has a steep learning curve. The first few questions, which were the only I read, certainly do not require R. Instead, read some more (I know it sucks), google appropriately, and if you can, search for relevant online "applets" to do the work for you, before installing a program that will take up space. However, if you do want to know about good programs to use that are not nearly as difficult, refer to what I wrote at http://www.mathhelpforum.com/math-he...tml#post144559

    Good luck,
