The thing about this question that i really dont understand is how to interpret the MINITAB output. Anybody use it often and know how to read it? I have no idea what any of it means.
- Question is about hardness Y of eggs relating to percentage x of a food supplement. just to summarize the rather large bit of text i was given about it.
10 randomly selected eggs:
Hardness y --- 0.8 - 1.08 - 1.26 - 1.85 - 0.86 - 0.92 - 1.05 - 1.34 - 1.85 - 2.05
Percentage x - 0.22 - 0.31 - 0.44 - 0.71 - 0.23 - 0.27 - 0.31 - 0.44 - 0.72 - 0.81
i) Construct a 95% confidence interval for the regression slope, making full use of the MINITAB calculations given below.
ii) Both a 95% C.I. and a 95% prediction interval for hardness have been calculated by MINITAB at x=0.7% supplement. Construct a 90% C.I. and a 90% prediction interval for hardness at x=0.7% supplement. (I can probably get this one done if i can do the first one as i'll hopefully have understood the MINITAB stuff)
(The data below was given to me, not calculated by me)
MINITAB DATA
The regression equation is
hardness = 0.392 + 2.05 supplem
Predictor ---- Coef ---- SE Coef ---- T ---- P
Constant --- 0.3922 --- 0.02537 -- 15.46 - 0.000
supplem ---- 2.04889 -- 0.05145 -- 39.83 - 0.000
S = 0.03424
R-Sq = 99.5%
R-Sq(adj) = 99.4%

Appologies for the way its layed out but can anyone help me on this?
