    approximative distribution to this data

    Hi I need some help.
I have some data I got to analyse. It is any number that occurs randomly and independently of each other

    imgur: the simple image sharer

So number 0 appear 147 times, number 1 apperas 272 times. Hope u understand what I mean.

The mean is 3,24 and variance is 3,62

I wonder if it is any known distribution I can approximative this with? My suggestion is a negative binomial distribution.

Re: approximative distribution to this data

Since the mean and variance are so similar I think that a poisson distribution would be a good fit.
If you know a lot about what you are sampling from then you should be able to figure out the type of distribution without any data. The data then allows you to decide what the parameters of that distribution are equal to.
