PValue and T
so again with another pvalue problem. but this time, gotta solve for t as well.
The sample mean and standard deviation from a random sample of 10 observations from a normal population were computed as xbar = 23 and s = 9.
Calculate the value of the test statistic (3 decimals) and the pvalue (4 decimals) of the test required to determine whether there is enough evidence to infer at the 5% significance level that the population mean is greater than 20.
t =
pvalue =
so i get 1.054 for t which is correct:
2320 / 9 / sqrt 10 = 1.054
now the pvalue is where i have the problem...
not even sure where to start.

Re: PValue and T
Hey arcticreaver.
You need to either use a computer program or a set of statistical tables to get the pvalue. In R the command should be pt(). Have you used ttables before?
