Normal distribution problem: wordings difficult to understand

In a test of clerical ability which is distributed normally, a recruiting agency found that the mean and standard deviation for a group of fresh candidates were 60 and 10 respectively. For another experienced group, the mean and standard deviation were found to be 64 and 12. Assuming a cut-off point of 72, what percentage of the experienced group is likely to be selected and what percentage of the fresh group is likely to be rejected?ANS:In this problem, i found difficult to understand the meaning of "assuming a cut-off point of 72".Can any member of this forum explain me it's meaning and how it can be used to solve this problem. I know the various formulas in respect of data distributed normally.

It means that you accept a person with a score of 72 or higher and reject a person with a score lower than 72.

Here is answer:25.46% of experienced group of candidates is likely to be selected and 88.49% of fresh group is likely to be rejected.
