    is the mean and variance correct?

    X 5 8 9 4 10 6
    p(X) 1/6 1/6 1/6 1/6 1/6 1/6

    Mean : 7

    Variance : 4.67

    is the mean and variance correct? if wrong plz explain with formula

    Yes that is correct!

    Remember the mean for a PMF is the sum from 0 to n of x*p(x) = E[x]

    And the variance is E[x^2] - (E[x])^2

    Which is p(x)*x^2 - ( p(x)*x)^2
