Hello,
I came across this symbol while i was doing some work and wanted to know what it meant and how to solve for it. Thanks for your help in advance!

Prove It
Re: meaning of symbol
It means product.

Re: meaning of symbol
so if you were given

1-(n-1 product symbol i=0) (1-((1/(2^(l*d))*(a)*(p)*(b-g)-i)

values for symbols
a=2^16
b=2^16
g=1024
p=2

how would you solve it? i've got an answer which i know is probably wrong of
1-(n-1 product symbol i=0)(1-(1/8455716864*(2^(d*l))-i)

can i drop out of equation?

What are you trying to solve for?

To solve for something you need an equality sign $x + y = 5$ solve for x. $1 - \prod_{i=0}^{n-1} \frac{1}{2^{ld}}2^{16}2^{16}(2^{16}2^{10})-i$ is not an equality.

For example $\prod_{i=1}^5 i = 1 * 2 * 3 * 4 * 5$
