How to calculate the arithmatic mean from geometric mean

Hi all,

I have geometric mean (GM)and geometric standard deviation (GSD).

Is this possible to have an arithmetic mean from geometric mean/standard deviation?

For instance, GM=2.5, GSD=1, how I could get the arithmetic mean and arithmetic standard deviation? Help me out!

I don't know the random variables, either.

I simply have GM=2.5 and GSD=1. My mission is to calculate the AM and ASD.

Can I also calculate visa versa?

For instance, I have AM=3 and ASD=2, then how can I calculate the GM and GSD?

In order to calculate a mean and a variance you need a distribution of some kind or some information to link different sets of parameters together.

if you can't tell me what the distribution refers to, then I don't have a chance of helping you.
