    Both questions are based on the Binomial distribution.

    (a) Let X be the number of bad players in the sample; then X has a Binomial distribution with n = 12, p = 0.8. We want P(X <= 1). I get 0.2749 for the answer.

    (b) This time X has a Binomial distribution with n = 12, p = 0.9, and we want P(X > 1) = 1 - P(X <= 1). I get 0.3410.
