Someone please let me know if these are correct! - Oct 2nd 2012, 03:46 PMtarekshaRe: Probablity Question

Both questions are based on the Binomial distribution.

(a) Let X be the number of bad players in the sample; then X has a Binomial distribution with n = 12, p = 0.8. We want P(X <= 1). I get 0.2749 for the answer.

(b) This time X has a Binomial distribution with n = 12, p = 0.9, and we want P(X > 1) = 1 - P(X <= 1). I get 0.3410.
