Hello, I am not a math person but however the Stat course is compulsory for my program. I am trying my best but cannot figure this question. I will find a tutor in this week, but before that, please help me figure this out as my first test is coming in these days.

Suppose a distribution has a mean of 18 and a standard deviation of 4 and you transform this distribution to one that has a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 10. What raw score in the original distribution corresponds to a transformed score of 115?

The transformed score of 115 is 1.5 standard deviations above the mean.

What score in the original distribution corresponds to this z-score?

so I get

x = 18 + (1.5 X 4)

= 24

am I correct?
