Need help on Hypothesis related Question
I need to know how to solve this problem. Done with theory of H0 and Ha but when jumped to questions, I had no idea how to begin. I will be very thankful if someone can show me how to solve these problems.

Q.1
In a national poll of 1,706 Americans aged 45 and older conducted in 2004 for the AARP, 1,228 of respondents agreed with the statement, "Adults should be allowed to legally use marijuana for medical purposes if a physician recommends it." We want to use software to test if a majority (more than 0.5) of all Americans aged 45 and older support legalization of marijuana for medical purposes.

(a) First identify H0 and Ha. Choose the correct answer
-H0: μ = 0.72 vs. Ha: μ > 0.72
-H0: μ = 0.50 vs. Ha: μ > 0.50
-H0: μ = 0.72 vs. Ha: μ ≠ 0.72
-H0: μ = 0.50 vs. Ha: μ ≠ 0.50
-H0: p = 0.72 vs. Ha: p > 0.72
-H0: p = 0.50 vs. Ha: p > 0.50
-H0: p = 0.72 vs. Ha: p ≠ 0.72
-H0: p = 0.50 vs. Ha: p ≠ 0.50
-H0: = 0.72 vs. Ha: > 0.72
-H0: = 0.50 vs. Ha: > 0.50
-H0: = 0.72 vs. Ha: ≠ 0.72
-H0: = 0.50 vs. Ha: ≠ 0.50
(b) According to the output, what is the sample proportion ? (Round your answer to two decimal places.)
(c) According to the output, what is the standardized sample proportion z? (Round your answer to two decimal places.)
(d) According to the output, what is the P-value? (Round your answer to three decimal places.)
(e) Does the poll provide convincing evidence that a majority of all Americans aged 45 and older support legalization of marijuana for medical purposes?
-Yes, with strong evidence.
-Yes, but just barely.
-No, not quite.
-No, not at all.

Q2. After test-marketing a new product, a restaurant chain concluded that introduction of the product nationwide would increase its sales by more than 13%. This conclusion was based on recording sales information for a random sample of its restaurants selected for the marketing trial. With μ denoting the mean percentage increase in sales for all its restaurants, consider using the sample data to decide between H0 : μ = 13 and Ha : μ > 13.

(a) Is the restaurant chain's conclusion consistent with a decision to reject Ho or to fail to reject Ho?
(b) If the restaurant is incorrect in its conclusion, is the company making a Type I or a Type II error?

Re: Need help on Hypothesis related Question
Q1 part a I would say '-H0: p = 0.50 vs. Ha: p > 0.50'

What is your output from the software?
