Doing a model with Linear Regression

I am using multiple linear regression to find the coefficients that describe a certain process in my research lab. With these coefficients I am trying to make a new model to predict the descriptors I used to find the coefficients in the first place. Does anyone know how to do this? Sorry if it is not very descriptive I can't really think of how to describe it.

is there a reason you cant just repeat the regression using the descriptors as the dependent variable?

i tried to do the regression again but it kept kicking out one of the variables and we can't figure out why.

What exactly do you mean 'kicking out a variable'
